Influenced by Ashtanga yoga, typical classes "flow" from one pose to the next. This type of yoga is also referred to as Vinyasa or Vinyasa Flow. Vinyasa in Sanskrit means a sequence or order. In essence, this yoga flows in a seamless sequence. There are cues during the class to help students improve alignment but there is little to no stopping to talk about the finer points of each pose. The great benefit to flow yoga is students feel like the get good workout as well as a yoga experience.
